Wings To Fly Child Development Center

The “Wings To Fly Child Development Center” is one of the leading a multi-speciality Paediatric Occupational Therapy Clinic in Chennai established to address the developmental and clinical needs of children who would require therapy for any of the following disorders. Founded in January 2021, with good experience and ongoing cooperation with few hospitals and schools, the Center offers Occupational Therapy, Special Education and Speech Therapy. Our center provides international best practices in rehabilitating special children.

We use a family-centred approach to treatment. Our sessions focus on individualized assessment, enrichment, and integration of your child’s abilities. We work together as a team to provide the most comprehensive services for your child.

Dr N.Rasu holds a Post Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy. He has worked with children with special needs for the past 8 years. His association with Wings To Fly Child Development Center started in 2021. He has been passionately and successfully working at providing individualized and holistic treatment for children enrolled on Wings To Fly Child Development Center.

For every child, he starts with an assessment to review the skills in Sensory Processing, Sensory Integration, Pre-Writing, Handwriting, and Activity levels. Based on this therapy goals are set. Not only does he deliver therapy based on individual and group sessions as per the skill requirements for each child, he also works closely with the teacher, giving suggestions for classroom environment modification and remedial ideas. He carries out periodic reviews to ensure that the plans are modified.
He has been very innovative in enabling online OT sessions during the pandemic. This has made sure that children had a gainful remedial session during this period. He is adept at the use of tools including International Standardised Tools EASI ( Evaluation of Ayres Sensory Integration), Sensory Profile 2 The parental questionnaire, Test of Handwriting Skills – Revised (THS-R), The development of Visual Perceptual Skills (VMI), Clinical Observation Neuro Motor Status (CONMS), Observation Based on Sensory Integration (OBSI), SPM – Sensory Processing Measure, Skilled Observation.
